Silent Meditation and Yoga Retreat at Bethel Farms, Hillsorough NH from August 25 - August 30

Oh Happy Blessed Opportunity! Join as we dive deeply into Dharana and Dhyana - concentration and meditation  - along with learning the process of THE HOW of spiritual practice.

The retreat will consist of daily yoga with expert yoga teacher Rich Ray, meditation, group processing, vegetarian ayurvedic meals crafted with farm fresh food, wood fired sauna and cold pond plunge.

Lodging: Shared rooms and Dorm. Tent platforms WITH large, stand up canvas tents.

Meals: 2 farm fresh, simple vegetarian meals per day, Ayurvedically prepared in accordance with the late summer season. Snacks, tea and coffee always available.

Yoga: Practice with expert teacher Rich Ray. Daily morning self-practice model: bring your practice with you and go at your own pace in a silent room. Rich will monitor and offer tips, projects, adjustments, etc. The room will be open for a 2 hour period within which you may complete your practice. Rich is available to assist those who have no yoga background.

Silence: We will commit to and communally hold a silent environment. The power of the retreat lies in the opportunity for inward focus, free of the mundane. Bring a mature frame of mind that aspires to a “what is best for all” attitude. Keep reading materials at home. You will be asked to “turn in” your phone for the duration of the retreat.

Meditation: Meditation instruction and practice sessions, guided by Rich, will inform our experience as we learn to calm the mind and look deeply into the subtle body.

Workshop and Group Processing: We will gather for group sessions and  inquire into correct meditation that lessens the power of the kleshas. Daily group exploration and processing focuses on developing and cultivating an empowered mind and a compassionate heart. You will learn tools that you can take home with you. Bring a journal.

Sauna: Daily wood fired sauna and pond dip. Bring swimwear.

The Farm: A working organic farm home to the “yoga palace” - a phenomenal yoga space on the farm property. Late summer is a gorgeous time of year at Bethel Farm! The natural surroundings simmer with life. There are multiple trails for easy hiking and long country roads to walk along.

Travel: Bethel Farm is in Hillsborough NH. Less than a 2 hour drive from Boston and a 5.5 hour drive from NYC. Flying into Boston Logan or Manchester NH airports are best.
